Summer break in Oman

There is nothing like a summer holidays in Oman.

Great country to see if you are bored with all that European rush.

People are not used to have visitors/tourists much so I have witness many funny situations.

I have spent there just one week but it was boiling hot one… It is one big desert with some occasional oasis only.

Orange Country Choppers invades Ireland

Last Sunday during waking in Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin I saw The Orange Country Choppers logos. People were making photos with three fantastic choppers. It was a really nice to see them in the real world, not only in TV. Unfortunately none of the stars were present, but anyway that was pretty exciting experience.

There were also some T-Shirts with their logo for everyone to buy.

Yesterday I had a pleasure to see polish film for the first time outside Poland. It was “Katyn” directed by Andrzej Wajda at The JAMESON Dublin International Film Festival.

Croagh Patrick

Croagh Patrick is an important site of pilgrimage. It is a 764 m (2,510 ft) mountain in the west of Ireland, located 8 km from Westport, County Mayo above the villages of Murrisk and Lecanvey.

On “Reek Sunday”, the last Sunday in July every year, over 25 thousand pilgrims climb this mountain, many of whom even climb barefoot. The mountain was created by a glacier flowing into Clew Bay in the last Ice Age. (more…)

Ireland’s National Marian Shrine in Knock

On the 21st August 1879 Our Lady, St. Joseph and St. John the Evangelist appeared at the south gable of Knock Parish Church. Fifteen people witnessed that miracle. That was the first time when the world heard about this sacred place and form then on Knock is an internationally recognized Marian Shrine.
